cPanel/WHM Migration Tool now live!
At the request of many clients, we have recently launched our cPanel / WHM Migration Tool. This tool is designed to move entire services to our hosting infrastructure.
The tool is designed for several use cases:
- Web Hosting – migrate your cPanel web hosting from another provider to our services
- Reseller Hosting – migrate an individual cPanel, multiple cPanel accounts, or your WHM Reseller Hosting
Web Designers, Development Agencies and Hosting Companies that use our reseller services can benefit from easily migrating new clients.
Individual cPanel Transfer
It takes no time at all to migrate your Web Hosting to 5wire Networks. To move forward with the cPanel Account Transfer you must have:
- Either an active cPanel Web Hosting or Reseller Hosting package before proceeding
- cPanel credentials to the account you wish to migrate to our hosting
Step 1
Go to our Transfer Tool (Note: you need an active service this us to access this page).
Step 2
Click Create Transfer.
Step 3
Select cPanel.
Step 4
Web Hosting: Select your existing Web Hosting package in the Destination drop down box. Fill in the credentials from your existing web hosting provider.
Reseller Hosting: Select your Reseller Hosting package in the Destination drop down box. Fill in the credentials of the cPanel account hosted on the other providers server.
Click Next.
Step 5
Web Hosting: warning, your existing web hosting package with us will be completely overwritten by this transfer and cannot be recovered.
Reseller Hosting: the cPanel account will be deployed onto your reseller hosting package as a new account.
Click Add to Migrate Queue if you’re ready to proceed. This will initiate the transfer process.
Step 6
Your transfer will now show in the table. The progress will be available to watch and once complete you will receive an email to confirm once the transfer has completed.
WHM cPanel Transfer
You may migrate one account or your entire cPanel Reseller Hosting from another provide to your new Reseller Hosting package to us. To move forward with the WHM cPanel Account Transfer you must have:
- An active Reseller Hosting package
- WHM credentials to the source server where the cPanel account(s) are held
Step 1
Go to our Transfer Tool (Note: you need an active service this us to access this page).
Step 2
Click Create Transfer.
Step 3
Select WHM.
Step 4
Enter your WHM Details details and click Next to authenticate to the source server.
Step 5
You will see a list of the cPanel accounts available to be migrated to your Reseller Hosting.
Check the boxes in the Migrate? field to transfer the given account to your Reseller Hosting with us.
Click Add to Migrate Queue to proceed.
Note: accounts greater than 20GB cannot be migrated using this tool and you must raise a support ticket with us to handle this.
Step 6
Each account will be in the queue ready for migration. We manage account restoration based on the number of backups to restore, server load and resource availability. Once each backup has completed, you will receive an email to confirm completion.
